Indian Navy Sailor Notification 2021 Out for SSR/AA Entry! Indian Navy invites unmarried male candidates for the recruitment as sailors for Artificer Apprentice (AA) & Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) 02/2021 batch. A small notification has been released by the Indian Navy on its official Website. You can apply in online mode starting from April 26, 2021, to May 5, 2021.

Indian Navy Recruitment 2021: Age And Fees Candidates interested in applying for Indian Navy Sailor Jobs 2021 through Indian Navy Recruitment 2021 must meet the age criteria as per the Indian Navy norms, with relaxation (upper age limit) for reserved categories as per the Indian Navy Sailor Notification 2021 norms. Shortlisted candidates shall be called for online exam followed by Physical and Medical Tests. The date of the exam shall be notified in the detailed notification. It is mandatory to submit a negative RT-PCR laboratory report of COVID-19 from Govt/ICMR accredited laboratory by candidates at the time of written examination

Indian Navy SSR AA Salary:

• During  the  initial  training  period,  a  stipend  of  Rs.  14,600/-per  month  will  be paid.
• On successful completion of initial training, candidates will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix  (Rs. 21,700-69,100).  They  will  also be  paid  MSP  Rs. 5200/-per  month  plus  DA  (as applicable)  plus  “X”  Group  pay  {only  for  Artificer  Apprentice  (AA)}  Rs.  6200/-per month  plus  DA

Indian Navy SSR AA Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) –  12th passed with 60% or more marks in aggregate with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects:- Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from the Boards of School Education recognised by MHRD, Govt. of India
• Artificer Apprentice (AA) – 12th passed with Maths & Physics and atleast one of these subjects: – Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from the Boards of School Education recognised by MHRD, Govt. of India.

Age Limit:

Candidates should be born between 01 Feb 2001 to 31 Jul 2004 (Both dates inclusive)

Selection Process for Indian Navy SSR AA Sailor Posts

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, an exception is being made in the public interest wherein approximately 10000 candidates will be called-up for written examination and PFT. The shortlisting of the candidates for written examination and PFT will be undertaken on the basis of percentage of qualifying examination (10+2 examination). The cut off marks may vary from state to state as vacancies have been allocated in a state-wise manner.

Indian Navy AA SSR Exam Pattern

There will be objective type questions on

The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English)

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks

Indian Navy SSR AA PFT

PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squats (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.

Merit lists for AA and SSR will be prepared based on performance in written examination subject to qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT), as follows:-

1. AA- Top 600 candidates (approx.) on all India order of merit, who meet the eligibility criteria for AA will be issued call up letter for final enrolment medical examination at INS Chilka.
2. SSR- Approximately 2500 candidates will be issued call up letter for final enrollment medical examination at INS Chilka on the basis of state wise merit

Indian Navy SSR AA Medical Exam

• Candidates who are qualified in PFT will undergo Preliminary Recruitment medical examination.

A total of 2,500 vacancies will be filled in this recruitment.

“Online applications are invited from unmarried male candidates (fulfilling conditions of nationality as laid down by the Government of India) for enrolment as sailor for Artificer Apprentice (AA) and Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) for 500 and 2,000 vacancies (approximately) respectively in the August 2021 Batch,” the Indian Navy has said.

An Artificer Apprentice would work on steam powered machinery, diesel and gas turbines, guided missiles and other automatically controlled weapon, sensors avionic equipment, computers and highly advanced radio and electrical power systems. Selected candidates will undergo nine weeks’ Basic Training at INS Chilka followed by professional training in the allotted trade at various Naval Training Establishments.

SSR’s work could be operations of various equipment such as radars, sonars or communications or firing of weapons such as missiles, guns or rockets. Candidates selected will undergo 22 weeks Basic Training at INS Chilka followed by professional training in the allotted trade in various Naval Training Establishments.

Selection Criteria for Senior Secondary Recruits(SSR):

Indian Navy Recruits candidates based on their performance in written test and fitness in medical and physical tests.

Syllabus for written test can available from the website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.

For  Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Candidates should bring their own costumes like shoe and shorts. PFT will consist running, Push -ups , Squat ups.

Candidates are selected/fit during medical examination will permitted for further training.

Permanent body tattoos are not acceptable on any other body parts except on inner face of forearms.
