UPSC NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY(NDA) and NAVAL ACADEMY Entrance Exam:

NDA exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. Recruitment of candidates to Army, Navy and Air force wings of the National Defence Academy (NDA), is through National Defence Academy Entrance Exam which is held twice a year, generally in the month of April and September.  A candidate must be an unmarried male.
The candidates Joining Indian Naval Academy would undergo 4 years B.Tech Course and would be given an opportunity to join Executive and Technical Branches of the Navy subject to availability of vacancies.

UPSC NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY and NAVAL ACADEMY (II) 2019 Examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission, for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 144th Course and for the 106th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 02nd July 2020.

The candidates Joining Indian Naval Academy would undergo 4 years B.Tech course and would be given an opportunity to join Executive and Technical Branches of the Navy subject to availability of vacancies.

Age Limit, Sex, Marital Status

Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 2001 and not later than 1st  January, 2004 are eligible.

NDA & NA II 2019

Educational Qualification

For Army Wing of National Defence Academy 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and

Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Note:

– Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination. These candidates should submit proof of passing the 12th class or equivalent examination by 24th June, 2020.

– Such candidates who qualify the SSB interview but could not produce Matriculation/10+2 or equivalent certificate in original at the time of SSB interview should forward duly self attested Photocopies to ‘Directorate General of Recruiting, Army HQ, West Block.III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi110066’ and for Naval Academy candidates to ‘Naval Headquarters, DMPR, OI&R Section, Room No. 204, ‘C’ Wing, Sena Bhavan, New Delhi-110011’ by 24th June, 2020 failing which their candidature will be cancelled.

– Candidates appearing in the 11th class exam are not eligible for this examination.

NDA Exam Pattern for Mathematics and General Ability Test

NDA 2019 is conducted in offline mode and all the questions are of MCQ type. The exam is held in both English and Hindi language. Candidates are asked to attempt two sections- Mathematics and General Ability Test.

After qualifying the NDA 2019 entrance test, all candidates have to appear for NDA Interview. Details are as below:

Candidates are advised to go through the syllabus of the examination along with NDA 2019 Exam Pattern. It will help them to have better preparations for both Entrance Test as well as Interview.
